Deshedding Pet Grooming Glove

Moulting season puts the fur on the sofa, on your coat, and in the back of the car. This takes it off the animal before it gets there. It is a glove with soft rubbery nubs across the palm, so from the cat's point of view the whole thing is being stroked, not brushed. That is usually the difference between a grooming session and a wrestling match.

The loose fur collects on the palm and peels off in one sheet. Rub it off, bin it, carry on. Nothing to pick out of bristles.

Use it dry for loose fur, or wet in the bath to work shampoo through the coat. The back is mesh and the cuff is elasticated, so there are no straps to fasten and your hand does not cook inside it. Short coats, long coats, curly coats. Cats, dogs and rabbits.

How many
One is plenty for one animal. Two lets you use both hands, which is genuinely quicker on a big dog, and three or four makes sense for several pets or for keeping one in the car.

In the box
Gloves in the quantity you pick, in black, dark brown or light brown.

Worth knowing
It lifts loose fur out of the coat. It will not get mats out — a matted coat needs a comb or a groomer, and a rubber glove will just drag on it. Two or three minutes a few times a week does more than one long session.
